NATO fears a Russian attack on Britain, which would expose it as a paper tiger. They are playing with fire – The Guardian
Russia notified Britain that Moscow is ready to strike British military bases and defence contractors for supplying Ukraine with Storm Shadow missiles and drones hitting targets deep inside Russia.
A Russian attack on the UK would NOT activate NATO’s Article 5. First, it is voluntary: no NATO country MUST help; they only do their best.
Second, Article 5 does not apply if a NATO country attacked first. If Russia’s action was provoked, Article 5 does not apply.
NATO would look silly if Britain were attacked and no one helped. Britain itself is too weak to respond. NATO would be exposed as a paper tiger.
